After a good season back in the premiership for Robbie Neilson's men, they find themselves preparing to face European football until at least December.
They will need to strengthen their squad and it looks like a deal is close for the 19-year-old defender Lewis Neilson. Neilson has also played with Falkirk on a loan move and after spending a couple of seasons at Dundee United's first team, Robbie Neilson has had his eye on the defender and it looks like the deal is close.
Lewis is also capped at u-16 and u-17 for Scotland. United's sporting director Tony Asghar has said "Lewis was with us for almost a decade and progressed through our academy to make the breakthrough into the first team over the last two seasons".
He also said, "We wish him the very best in the next stage of his career."
