Real Madrid won the Champions league just over two weeks ago but have moved quickly to bolster their squad by snapping up one of the hottest midfield prospects in the world in Aurélien Tchouaméni.
According to The Athletic, Real Madrid and AS Monaco were able to reach a verbal agreement earlier today in a deal worth more than €100 million with the process of finalizing the paperwork ongoing. Tchouameni had serious offers from Liverpool, PSG and Real Madrid but he had his mind set on joining Los Blancos.
He’s been integral to the Monaco side that finished third in Ligue 1 and reached the second knockout stage in the Europa league, featuring 50 times in all competitions. He also earned himself 10 caps in a very well stacked French team.
Despite his considerably young age, the hopes for an instant impact at the Bernabeu will be high as the the trio of Kroos, Casemiro and Modric approach their twilight years. But it would be wise to ease the pressure on him as he’s an incredibly talented player that would dominate for years to come.
