What next for Christian Eriksen?

Following a rather successful 6 (six) months at Brentford, Christian Eriksen's future is up in the air with multiple of Europe's elite clubs eyeing him up.

One of which is Manchester United, who have reportedly made an official approach for the 30-year old according to David Ornstein. Eriksen reportedly has a brilliant relationship with new Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag, which could help the Red Devils' pursuit. During Eriksen's return to football, following on from his recovery of his cardiac arrest in EURO 2020, Eriksen trained at his former team Ajax, who Erik Ten Hag was manager of at the time.

Another club reportedly interested in the Danish playmaker is his former club Tottenham Hotspur, where he stayed from 2013-2020. In his time at Spurs, Eriksen played 304 games, scoring 69 and assisting 90. He was a pivotal part of the team that rivaled Leicester City to the Premier League title in 2015-16 and the team that took Spurs to their first ever Champions League final in 2018-19.

However on the other hand, Brentford are reportedly very interested in keeping Eriksen after a very successful 6 months with the Bees. Brentford have acted on this interest by reportedly offering him a new contract to keep him there for longer, however the length of the contract they have reportedly offered is still unknown. And another reason for Brentford to be optimistic about keeping him is that it's come out that Champions League football isn't essential in his decision. This was later confirmed when Eriksen said in an interview:

"I would love to play Champions League football again. I know how much fun it is, but it isn't essential for me."

Who do you think Eriksen will end up joining?
